Windows is acting really strange (takes 10 minutes to boot, etc.) and I want to reformat and reinstall XP. The problem is the cd dvd drive is not working on my HP laptop. Can I copy the entire recovery cd to an external hard drive (using another computer, of course) then have my laptop boot from the ext drive and start the reformat / reinstall of windows xp?
